Yum Yum Burger

Description

This burger is similar to the Ortega Burger in as much as it has an Ortega Chili on it but I found this burger in San Bernardino, California at the Yum Yum Coffee Shop on F Street.
It has one unusual feature that the Ortega Burger doesn't have; a fried egg! And it is delicious!

What you need

1 cast iron frying pan
1 spatula
1 large kitchen knife

Ingredients

2 pounds ground beef
1 can whole Ortega Chilies
1 hard fried egg per burger
1 American cheese slice per burger
3 tomatoes sliced
1 head of lettuce leafed
1 brown or yellow onion sliced
1 mayonnaise
1 package of hamburger buns
salt and pepper

What you need to do

Make burger patties. Over medium heat put a little vegetable oil in frying pan. Fry on one side 10 to 15 minutes, flip over for another 10 to 15. Split Ortega Chilies in half and put face down in frying pan and lightly brown. Place egg in frying pan, break the yoke and fry hard. Put mayonnaise on bun top and bottom, place burger on bottom bun, top with cheese, fried egg, Ortega Chili, onion slice, lettuce and tomato. Salt and pepper and serve.
