Louisiana Creole Basting Sauce
DescriptionThis sauce is a great marinade for steaks and wild game. Use to baste meats while being grilled, barbecued or broiled.
What you need
1 6-qt. sauce pot
1 bamboo cooking paddleIngredients
1 gallon Lou Ana cooking oil (any good vegetable oil will do)
15 oz. bottle soy sauce
4 tsp. garlic juice
8 oz. onion puree
10 wine vinegar
6 oz. dry sherry wine
1/2 oz. dried parsley flakes
8 tbsp. salt
2 tbsp. ground black pepper
4 tbsp. red cayenne pepper
4 tsp. Louisiana Hot Sauce
10 oz. Coca Cola
4 medium onions, chopped fineWhat you need to do
Mix all of the ingredients and stir for 5 minutes over medium fire. Heat to approximately 150 degrees to ensure that all of the ingredients are throroughly blended.
Marinate steaks for 24 hours before barbecuing. A longer marinating period is recommended for wild game.
