
Boiled Seafood
DescriptionBoiled Shrimp and boiled Crabs and boiled Crawfish are staple meals for Cajun folk, either by they self or with potato salad or Cajun potato chips... and a beer! And it's easy to do! You can substitute shrimp or crawfish or a dozen crabs. Enjoy!
What you need
1 large sauce pot or stock pot
1 large cooking spoon with holes
1 large cooking tongs for crabsIngredients
4 pounds raw shrimp, crawfish or 12 crabs
1 large brown or yellow onion quartered
1 fresh lemon quartered
1 packet of Zaterain's Crab Boil
4 tbls. salt
2 tbls. Louisiana hot sauceWhat you need to do
In large sauce pot, put 3 quarts of water, salt, onion, lemon, hot sauce and Crab boil and bring to a boil. Add seafood and return to a boil. Boil crabs: 20 minutes, crawfish 15 minutes and shrimp 2 minutes. Turn off heat and let sit for 5 minutes. Remove to serving dish and enjoy!
By the way, you'll need plenty of napkins 'cause you eat 'em with yo fangers!
