
Mom Mata's Baked Ham
DescriptionBaked ham like you've never had it before. This ham is so flavorful and tender and juicy
that you will stuff yourself like a turkey! I always look forward to a holiday when Mom Mata
serves this delicacy... and it's so simple. Enjoy!
What you'll need1 baking pan with cover
1 basting suringe or large cooking spoon
1 large cooking knife
1 box of toothpicks
Ingredients1 10 to 12 pound ham (butt portion recommended)
1 can of Pineapple rings
1 package of dark brown sugar
1 package whole cloves
1 jar of Maraschino cherries
What you need to doPre heat oven to 350 degrees. Score ham; making 1 1/2 inch squares about 3/8ths inch deep
diagonally on ham skin. Rub liberally with brown sugar. Place cherries at intersections with
toothpicks and whole clove, then hook a pineapple ring over the cherries. Cover and place in oven. Bake for two hours.*Now this is the secret. Every fifteen minutes baste the ham all over with the liquid from the
bottom of the pan.* For more tender ham bake 1 hour longer.
